2008 is welcomed by Playboy by awarding their expected head turners, the “2008 Cars of the Year”. The top magazine for men sees it that 2008 is the year for high-performance hybrid outpacing former title holders, European imports ruling over domestic products and a premium car maker now making one of the most-fuel efficient vehicles at a cheaper cost.

Awards were based from test drives done by the automotive writers of the magazine themselves. The journalists traveled around the world, to evaluate each model sent by leading automakers in their showrooms. To determine the most deserving of them all, these vehicles were driven on tough driving conditions like steep hills, sharp turns. The award winning vehicles to be featured on the January issue of the magazine are as follows:
